  terrible. totally, terrible. new teachers. bad students. i went to crown charter school and that charter is known as #1 in all of arizona. it was great. but this school, i suggest you run away. RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!!

• Review of "Tolleson City Court" at Tolleson

  They only have one Judge and his name is Joe Guzman. Apparently he feels entitled to predijuicly judge every person that enters his court I literally sat while he basically told the woman prior to me that her sister would never stop being a crack head and is always going to be a zero and keep dating crack heads. I then sat next to another woman in the lobby that proceeded to inform me how Judge Joe Guzman proceeded to blame her for getting herself in a situation to get shot for trying to help her son. The clerk staff is no better you can't ask any of these people any questions because no one knows anything and as for me Judge Joe Guzman could not be bothered to properly explain the proceedings of pleading guilty or not guilty and when I tried to change my plea he rudely interrupted me and accused me of giving him "attitude" he then gave me a predijuiced reduced fee instead of dropping my ticket for giving him attitude. So this is what you can expect from Tolleson apparently it's okay to have a Judge that abuses power.

• Review of "University High School" at Tolleson

  It's true that grades often flop at this school and there are extreme amounts of work assigned on a regular basis. Personally, I pushed myself to achieve A's and B's all year, but not everyone can do that. The stress is ridiculous, especially when important tests like AP come around. Even with all of this, students are constantly encouraged to work through difficulty and learn how to improve themselves. Life is not easy, and University High School prepares students mentally in how to handle "adult life" while also pushing them to think critically and open their eyes to a world of possibility. Not a day goes by that I do not think of something related to what I've learned or the wonderful people I've met at this school, especially in AP Human Geography. Many of the horrible things you've heard about the school are probably true (as the things aforementioned), but UH also offers many wonderful things. If you're entering this school for more college opportunites, you're entering for the wrong reason. However, if you enroll because you want to improve the WAY you think and push yourself beyond your "limits", come to UH. We're always glad to help. If you find that after the first few months, attendance has done you more harm than good or you dislike the school for some other reason, it's okay leave for another school. UH is not for everyone, but just to be clear it's not only for smart kids. Leaving does NOT mean you're stupid or a failure. We are people with heart, who take pride in our school and look forward to welcoming you into our family. Below is a picture of Future Freshmen Day.
